Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said during Friday’s press conference that there’s a chance Macaulay Hardman’s sprained thumb could keep him out beyond this week.

Hardman will miss at least the next four games.

Kansas City placed Hardman on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.

Hardman hasn’t practiced all week and has already been ruled out.

After returning to the Chiefs in a trade last month, Hardman caught eight passes for 41 yards.

Running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) and receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle/hip) are out for Sunday’s game against the Raiders.

The Chiefs promoted running back La’Mical Perry and receiver Montreal Washington from the practice squad in Week 12.
