JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson’s sports complex is getting an expansion in 2024 – and it’s with the help of some famous celebrities.

According to the founder ArkDallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving donated an additional basketball court to the facility.

The donation has already been accounted for and the court will be purchased and completed by January 2024.

Crew founder Ronnie Crudup Jr. said the generous donation is something that motivates Jackson’s children to work harder toward their cause.

“For someone his size, Kyrie Irving is one of the best players in the NBA. To send us some resources for him [for this] Court, I think people will see, You know what, what we do here, it’s important.

“That’s the main thing,” added coach Charles Lewis. “And that motivates children to know that someone is watching them. Children often think, You know, I’m not hiring. I’m not watching. But yes, someone is watching. So I hope it makes them happy.
