Bunscoil Loreto Gorey recently celebrated Science Week with a full week of activities. This year’s theme was ‘Exploring People and Their Influence’ which was very timely and allowed students to be creative and explore many interesting questions.

Exploration was certainly on at Bunscoil Loreto Gorey as the whole school took on a whole week of activities. The students participated in all local high school science labs, bird workshops, sports science challenges and many other scientific investigations.

One of the highlights of the week was their very own “Loreto Science Fair”. This is the second year of the science fair and it has grown into something that rivals Science Blast and BT Young Scientist, a national competition in science. Students researched and created fantastic 3D models of how some of their discoveries worked, while others had posters with the theory behind their projects.

It was a special week at the school and one that the students will always remember and will support them in the future as inquiring students.
