Libraries Political Song-a-Palooza holds open auditions for second annual event | Penn State University

University Park, Pa. – A political sing-a-palooza, a sponsored musical event Penn State University Libraries Now accepting video and audio auditions to showcase new, old and original political or protest music performed by Penn State students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Auditions are open through Sunday, January 28, 2024 via audio or video file for All types of performers are welcome to apply, from a cappella groups, soloists, singers/songwriters, bands, spoken word artists and more.

Hosted by State Theater On Saturday, April 20, in downtown State College, the second annual live event will once again focus on highlighting and sharing the diverse voices of the Penn State community in new ways. The event’s organizers are looking for performances that include songs from geographies, movements, and time-periods that contribute to political conversation and shape cultural and political landscapes.
