Nick Cannon In family happiness 2023 Soul Train Awards Before getting ready for the busy holiday season!

Speaking to ET Backstage at this year’s ceremony, Cannon said he was surrounded by friends and acquaintances on the most soulful night of the year. Sunday’s awards show on BET was a reimagined ceremony that gave stars and audiences an intimate, unforgettable, soulful Hollywood party, celebrating the best in soul music and the iconic legacy brand.

According to Canon, the network definitely came with an absolute bang.

“It’s like a family reunion, and with good energy, the vibe is right,” the A masked singer Shared host. “I mean, [the] Soul and then all the people I meet and I get the chance to really observe — you don’t always get to see them, so I love the energy of that. [the Soul Train Awards].”

Cannon’s presence at the awards show is a spectacular night as the father of 12 prepares for a packed holiday season.

The radio personality told ETA that he’s ready for his “favorite time of year,” which means dusting off his Santa Claus outfit and making the rounds.

“St. Nick lives in every chimney where I live,” he laments, adding that he looks forward to making it a special time of year for his children. “It’s all about the kids, so you’re definitely going to see us do some fun with the main stuff over the next 30 days.”

But before Cannon dons his red suit and hat, he has a job to take care of. The media mogul shared with ET that a new show will be released, which will allow the star to lend a helping hand to the “next generation of talent.”

“I’m on Network Swag, you know how we do it. We got a new show starting on VH1. Future Superstars; “I’m developing a lot of young talent here and launching that scene,” Cannon explained.

The new one The reality series follows the documentary canon Newbies in the music industry share what they’ve learned, showcase their talents, and dive deep into each artist’s personal story.

The docs showcase the incredible talents of nine new artists: Big Boss Vette, DW Flame, Hitman Holla, JD McCrary, Jilly, Klondike Blonde, Pop Money, Symba and Trae Two Three. Each half-hour episode focuses on each artist’s unique musical talents and personal journeys. The series finale looks back at the artists’ progress over the period.

Canon describes it as a “controller that provides a platform for the next generation of superstars,” inspired by his “personal journey” into space.

“So we could see it once VH1 Behind the Music At the end of one person’s career, this is almost the origin story of all these emerging superstars, “We’re still working on Season 2, so it’s a great platform.”
