Flowers lay on the boarded-up wall covering Chattanooga’s gift shop at the corner of Frazier and Forest streets on the North Shore.

The flowers honor 41-year-old Ana Poso Rodriguez and her 1-year-old son, Jonathan Delvia, who were killed by a hit-and-run driver last Saturday. Octavio Delvia Paz, a 40-year-old husband and father, is in hospital with serious injuries.

On Monday, motorists traveled down busy Frazier Street, walking past the tragedy of the weekend. How many of you knew what happened in that corner? How many have thought of a father who has to learn to live apart from his wife and child?

According to a Times Free Press report, Poso Rodriguez’s two daughters were with the family in Tennessee at the time of the accident.
