Person armed with sword causes Sacramento business to evacuate

SACRAMENTO – A business was evacuated Sunday afternoon in Sacramento after a man brandished a sword, police said.

On Sunday at 3:00 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Florine Road after learning that a man was armed and brandishing a sword.

A nearby business was evacuated and officers set up a perimeter. They said they started to engage with the suspect, but the man refused to drop the sword.

The crisis intervention team took over the contact and managed to arrest the suspect.

No roads were closed during the accident.
