Report: Mac Jones to start for Patriots

The Patriots have been quietly mulling over their quarterback plans for the past two weeks, but it seems they have had little reason to do so.

According to multiple reports, Mack Jones will remain the team’s starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Giants. Jones has started every game for New England this season but was pulled for the last outing in a Week 10 loss to the German Colts.

Bailey Zappé threw an interception after a fake punt to end that game, and some thought the Patriots’ refusal to name a starting quarterback on May 7 signaled a permanent change at the position. Head coach Bill Belichick appears to have opted to go in the other direction, but Jones will be looking forward to another chance to lead the Patriots to their third straight victory in the 2023 season.

On the other side of the field at MetLife Stadium, Giants starter Tommy DeVito will try to extend the Giants’ winning streak to two games.
