Godwood Wood Guys is a local woodworking company in Great Falls and this year was their ninth Santa Woodshop event. They wanted to find a way to participate in “Small Business Saturday” in Great Falls, while also spreading holiday cheer; That’s what Santa’s Woodshop is all about.

Susan Crocker, owner of Good Wood Guys, said she and her husband both had a passion for woodworking, saw an interest in Great Falls and decided to take the plunge.

“We’ve been in Great Falls for about ten years. We went into small business Saturday after our first business,” Crocker said. “We decided to do some promotions for small businesses because small businesses need consumers.”

Small Business Saturday is a way for local businesses to show their continued support of the Great Falls community and their appreciation for people in the community to come out and shop this holiday season.

“The Great Falls community is amazing; they go out and support small businesses [and] They are very nice to people,” Crocker said.

Santa, along with some of his kids, were at the Good Wood Guys Woodshop for kids to build wooden cars and trucks. Hot cocoa, s’mores, treats and more will also be available at Santa’s Woodshop event.

“We have a smorgasbord, so others can make wood for wood and wooden cars. We have snacks in the back. [and] We have marketing. We sell all kinds of buyouts and all kinds of little kits and things so people can take them and do things themselves,” Crocker said.
