Science – Anti-tobacco campaign: France bans smoking in parks and close to schools

The French Ministry of Health has presented its national anti-tobacco plan for 2023-2027. In the year By 2024, smoking is prohibited on all beaches, public parks and forests, and in some public buildings such as schools. Meanwhile, the price of a pack of cigarettes will rise to €13 in 2026, up from €11. Our science editor Julia Seeger tells us more about these measures.
