Belagavi Cantonment Board CEO found dead days after CBI raid
Belagavi Cantonment Boards (BCB) CEO K Anand, 40, was found dead at his government residence. Anand, a 2015 batch officer of the Indian Defense Estate Service, has served in Belagavi for a year and a half. The alleged suicide followed a CBI raid on the BCB office, which was investigating irregularities in the recruitment of staff. Police found a bottle of suspected poison near his body and two suicide notes, one claiming to be addicted to gambling and the other apologizing to his parents.
