Stefon Diggs TD puts Bills up 17-7 at halftime

The Eagles have trailed at halftime in each of their last three games before returning to winning ways and will need to regroup in the second half this week.

Stefon Diggs caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen with 12 seconds left in the first half at rain-soaked Lincoln Financial Field and the Bills gave the home team a 17-7 lead.

The score came after Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter blocked a Tyler Buss field goal attempt, but the Eagles’ scoring bid ended with empty hands. Jalen Harts tried to give the ball to Kenneth Gaineswell, but he was denied the run and Gregory Russo recovered for the Bills.

Buffalo’s first touchdown came after an Eagles turnover. Linebacker Terrell Bernard took a Harts pass and Allen ran in for the goal.

Allen has 40 rushing yards and is 19-of-32 for 209 yards through the air. Diggs came in and out of the game with no apparent injuries, but he had five catches for 60 yards when he was on the field.

The Eagles had just 99 yards and Hurts had just four completions in the contest. They also lost defensive tackle Fletcher Cox to a groin injury, so things haven’t been going well for the NFC East leaders so far. They have been able to fix it in recent weeks and need to do it again this Sunday.
