COPENHAGEN, Nov 27 (Reuters) – Tesla (TSLA.O) Sweden’s government transport agency has been sued for denying a US automaker’s request to issue license plates for new vehicles following a workers’ strike, business daily Dagen Industri reported.

Sweden’s largest manufacturing union Metall is locked in a collective bargaining agreement with Tesla for mechanics in Sweden. Metal put mechanics on strike on October 27 after refusing to service Tesla cars.

Members of other unions, including postal workers, doctors and cleaners, have taken compassionate action, resulting in Tesla, among other things, not distributing the license plates.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Swedish Transport Agency was not immediately available for comment.
