Trio Proceeding With Orlando Sports Entertainment District – Connect CRE

A developer trio has unveiled plans for a sports entertainment district in downtown Orlando. SED development, JMA Venturesand Machete Group, who are looking to develop the project on an 8.5-acre block near the Amway Center.

The 900,000-square-foot mixed-use project will serve as a meeting space with a hotel, high-rise residences, live music venue, office space and various restaurants.

The 260-key hotel includes an outdoor lounge and pool deck; 16,000 square feet of meeting space and restaurant.

The 3,500-capacity live music venue hosts numerous concerts and other promotional events.

The project includes more than 200,000 square feet of Class A office space, of which 30% is already leased.

100,000 square feet of retail space will be developed with a focus on dining and entertainment concepts and a new program for Orlando.
